Not the netflix show, though that's awesome too. Lately I've been reading the original writings -- the accounts of the most well-traveled individual in history, who ventured from Italy to the Arctic Circle, India, China, Japan, Zanzibar, and back again.
The story of a self-described "generic Asian man" who lives deep in the interior of an anonymous American Chinatown; an aspiring actor, ashamed son, man caught-between two worlds, guy who runs in and gets kicked in the face. A deeply compelling, frequently somber, and sometimes surreal read. Strong recommend.
